[Committees within the Forum]

• Steering Committee

The Forum's chief decision-making body, composed of co-representatives, vice-representatives and executive advisors. The committee discusses the policies and proposals of the Forum.

• Advisory Committee

Provides advice and support for the Forum's activities as requested by the co-representative. It is composed of leaders from the economic, labor, and academic spheres.

• Standing Policy Committee

Analyzes current political and economic situation to propose future agendas and proposals to the Steering Committee. The committee is led by co-representatives and vice representatives.

• Manifest Promotion Committee

All Forum members attend this committee. The committee promotes political parties' adoption of manifest in general elections to increase the relevance of election and parties.

• Council on Restructuring of Central and Local Governments

Performs holistic review of central and local governments to establish optimum governing structure of the country. It makes proposals on how the political system should be organized, structure of central agencies, the power balance between central and local governments, reform of civil service and local assemblies.

• Structural Reform Verification Committee

Examines and compiles the history of political reform in Japan since 1980s to communicate the development of political reform such as introduction of single-seat constituency and manifest to next generation of politicians and journalists. It also identifies unattended reform initiatives.

• Council of Federation of Governors and Mayors

This Council is for governors and mayors willing to promote reform. The Council aims to promote decentralization of government authorities and change the structure of the country by emphasizing the perspective of local areas and ordinary people.

• Local Manifest Promotion Committee

All Forum members attend this committee. The committee aims to link with volunteers throughout the country to promote the political reform based on perspective of ordinary people and political decentralization by utilizing local manifests.
