The JPC-SED serves a central role in providing comprehensive knowledge
and understanding of energy and the environment. It engages in activities
to foster energy and environmental education programs and works
to deepen public awareness of energy issues in cooperation with
the state, local municipalities, industries and organizations related
to the field of energy, educational groups, and regional gatherings.
Also, to realize the smooth dissemination of information concerning
energy and the environment in response to the respective needs of
people in all social strata, the Energy and Environmental Policy
Department conducts research into energy and environmental policies
and widely disseminates the results of its activities.
