National Forum on Entrepreneurship and Venture Business

The spirit of challenge opens the way to the future
The National Forum on Entrepreneurship and Venture Business was created in 1999 with the objective of supporting people’s dreams and aspirations. The 1990s saw a rise in the number of new venture businesses in the United States, which quickly became the driving force for economic vitalization. In Japan, however, public awareness and the social valuation of entrepreneurship and venture businesses are relatively low. The Forum brings together entrepreneurs and academic experts in addition to people from various fields of expertise to launch widespread educational activities for the promotion of entrepreneurship and venture businesses. Specifically, it stimulates public debates to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit among the people, creates policy proposals for social system reforms, and presents awards to model entrepreneurs and entrepreneur-supporting organizations.
